info/// Underground cables and foils must be protected against mechanical damage. Damage is often caused by stones and gravel penetrating the sand base. It is important as well to protect the cables in the digger trench against damage. Some on the market established systems like cable guards and cable protection files often have constructional disadvantages. They need to be installed meter by meter. The pounding of gravel and stone filling may cause shifting or even breakage at the joints that can reduce the protection function. Furthermore, the shifting is time-consuming and expensive. While excavator works guards and tiles are often damaged and during re-excavation the joints impede the usage of shovels.

/// KEKOPLAST® cable protection foils No. 08 (from 1,5 mm thickness) and No.09 (up to 1 mm thickness) on a reel offer optimal protection. The foils can be simply rolled out in the trench to safe time and costs. The tape prevents stones and gravel from penetrating the sand base. As a result, shifting during pounding work will be nearly impossible.

/// The smooth surface of the cable protection foils facilitate shovelling during re-excavation work. Even a toothless excavator shovel could slide across the foils without causing any damage. For this reason the refill material is neatly separated from the sand base. Punching allows moisture penetration and avoid undesirable accumulation of heat.
